PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Energy Engineering and Physics,
Amirkabir University of Technology
I received my BS, MS and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2005, 2007 and 2011 respectively. During the first half of 2012, I was a research associate and in the same year I was appointed as an assistant professor in Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. My research is generally in applied electromagnetic - and particularly in antennas, array and phased array antennas - for applications in wireless communications. At present, my interests focus on the applications of metamaterials in the analysis and synthesis of antennas and phased array antennas. Recently I started to work on Graphene and its applications in Terahertz devices. I am the author of Metamaterials in Antenna Engineering, Theory and Applications (LAP Academic Publishing, Germany, 2011). I also have authored or coauthored over 50 journal papers, 3 book chapters and 40 refereed conference papers. I have supervised or co-supervised over 15 PhD. and M.Sc. theses. I was a recipient of a student's best thesis national festival award for my BS thesis, on May 2006. I was a recipient of the 22th Khawarizmi International and 13th Khawarizmi Youth Award on Jan. 2009 and Oct. 2011, respectively. I was also the recipient of research grant awarded in Metamaterial 2010. I am a member of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society since 2011. I am also a member of Iranian National Elite Foundation since 2011. Read more...
